The PI Network is currently in the Closed Mainnet phase, allowing coin transactions by KYC-verified users. However, significant security issues have recently occurred, resulting in many users receiving long-term account freezing measures.
Reality of Account Freezing
Currently, multiple users have received account freezing measures for approximately 20 years, until November 22, 2044. Frozen accounts cannot start mining sessions, and access to held coins is restricted.
Main Causes of Freezing
The main causes of account freezing are the following two points:
- Intentional or accidental disclosure of the passphrase
- Detection of suspicious activity on the account
Important Notes
Warning Regarding the Use of the “report a compromised account” Function
If your account has not actually been compromised, please be careful not to press the “report” button. Reporting by mistake will automatically result in a 20-year account freeze.
Security Measures Guidelines
To use the PI Network safely, please note the following points:
- Never share your passphrase with others
- Refrain from sharing information on social media or message groups
- If you find suspicious activity, contact support immediately
Towards Open Mainnet
The PI Network is planning to launch the Open Mainnet. Prior to this, the core team is strengthening the protection of user accounts. The aim is to raise security awareness and operate the network in a safe environment.
